What is processor and what is the use of processor?

What is processor and what is the use of processor?  We use computers everyday so you have ever considered that tow the computer works according to our given orders. The computer is a machine that accepts data as input and process the data and provides us with appropriate results as output.
It also manages the complex task and all the calculation is done by the central processing unit also known as microprocessor which is called brain of computer systems. The microprocessor receive input from the input device such as keyboard or mouse as data and instructions.
It process the data using the instructions and returns the result to the output device like monitor or printer. The processor which is attached to motherboard is present inside the CPU box of all desktop
Every computer and smartphone have a processor, at the time of purchasing smartphone or computer, there is a question that which will be the best processor for me, this is a very important question because if u buy a smartphone with no good processor then your experience with that smartphone will not better.

 What is processor

processor

The processor is a type of chip that is used in computers, mobile, laptops, tablets, etc. and it is a major part of all these gadgets, it understand the activity between the software and hardware and the processor also understand the every activity that happens between us and the computer, aa long as processor cannot understand our command, we cannot work on computer.
Therefore the processor is also called the brain of computer. When we talk about processor, the core also appears as the given processor is with how much core. So lets a look towards the core of the processor.

What is core in processor?

Core of the processor simply means capacity of processor. If the processor is of single core then it can not do any heavy task and it will hang. Nowadays all the computer or laptop are available with two core, four code and six core processor.
At present there are many different processors of different core available in the market such as
  •  Processor with 2 core is known as dual core
  • Processor with 4 core is known as quad core
  • Processor with 6 core is known as hexa core

 How does processor work?

The processor executes step by step input instruction in the following way:-

1) Fetch- Fetch means that the instruction and information given by user are sent to the CPU from the RAM, they place it in am IR instruction register.

2) Decode- the instruction given by the user in the fetch is stored in an instruction register after which the work of CPU is passed to a circuit with all these instructions which is called decorder.

3) Execute- when this decoded instruction is passes through the control unit part of CPU and executes the output by executing the instruction and then it is sent back to the memory which it controls and manages.

4) Write back- this is the most common and last step of the processor. It maintain s the operation done by fetch, decode and execute in any register. It is possible to access the output quickly with the help of it, it is also called a back process.

Processor making company

Now a days processor is being manufactured in lots of companies, the list of those companies which are prominent are
  •  Intel
  • AMD
  • Qualcomm
  • NVIDIA
  • IBM
  • Motorola
  • Samsung
Among the above list, intel and AMD's processor is most demanded  because these two companies are continuously trying to improve the processor performance.

 Intel vs AMD processor

When you go to buy a PC or laptop, intel and AMD is the main choice for processors. This option becomes more complicated when you visit an online store because there are hundred of models of intel and AMD.
Generally AMD processors are cheaper than intel. If you are looking for budget, then you will find the AMD processors laptop inexpensively and with good performance. Intel performs better than AMD and it is most prefer red processor but AMD perform well in low price

So I hope that you have learned about the processor and if you have any questions regarding this topic then you can comment down, I will do my best to answer that.
